Angel Di Maria tops Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and City stars in shirt sales

The sports retailer has named the Manchester United ace as the most popular player in England's top flight based on the number of football shirts sold with star's names on the back.

record £59.7million last summer, but has underwhelmed so
far at Old Trafford.

The Argentine winger has had to deal with a break-in at
the house his family were living at in Manchester, as well as
being hampered by injuries and poor form.
But United fans have certainly backed their new boy with
9.59 per cent of all shirts sold having Di Maria's name on the
back.
Second is Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, who came in at 3.8 per
cent following his £35m move from Barcelona last summer.

Chelsea's Diego Costa rounds up the top three with 2.27 per
cent having swapped Atletico Madrid for west London last
year.
United goalkeeper David De Gea came in court with 2.16 per
cent, edging out Chelsea flyer Eden Hazard (2.10 per cent)
and Red Devils striker Wayne Rooney (2.09).
United flop Radamel Falcao, team-mate Robin van Persie ,
Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard and Manchester City
forward Sergio Aguero complete the top 10.
