Sportswear giants EA and Nike react to Cristiano Ronaldo's rape allegation


EA Sports and Nike have come out to speak against the rape allegation that surrounds their long-term client Cristiano Ronaldo. 34-year old schoolteacher Kathry Mayorga, claimed that she was raped by the Portuguese superstar in the early hours of June 13, 2009 in the bathroom of the Palms Hotel and Casino. Following the allegations, sportswear giants Nike and EA Sports came out to make statements.

Nike said: "We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation."

EA Sports said: "We have seen the concerning report that details allegations against Cristiano Ronaldo."
