Football Celebrity Gossip: Show vs Scandal - Messi gets prepared for show on his passion for football as Cristiano Ronaldo gets hit by Rape allegations

Just some weeks ago, 34-year old Kathryn Mayorga came out to accuse Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo of raping her after she went up with her friends to chill out with Ronaldo at his penthouse back in 2009. She alleged that Ronaldo paid her off to the tune of $375k. Ronaldo's lawyers have come to deny the allegation and also threatened to sue the German magazine, Der Spiegel, for reporting the news. Ronaldo has also personally come out to deny the allegation and claimed that they are trying to extort him. But while all this is happening, Lionel Messi is collaborating with arguably the world's most famous circus troupe, Cirque du Soleil, to share his life and passion for football...

According to DailyMail, Cirque du Soleil - a French-Canadian group of acrobats and performers known for their spectacular live shows -will produce a show based on the career of the Argentine/Barcelona legend.

He revealed this in an Instagam post. The post read: "I am honoured to announce my partnership with Cirque du Soleil for the creation of a brand-new show in 2019 based on my life and passion for football."

One of the real-life figures the circus troupe have used to make a show is the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, and The Beatles. Lionel Messi is going to be the first footballer to make the list.

Chelsea won't sign new players - Jose Mourinho

Chelsea will make no signings in the January transfer window, says manager Jose Mourinho. The team has enough capable and balanced players to even out in the coming competitions. The Blues have six matches before January 1, with the first starting today against Hull City. Mourinho plans to rest his senior players for this Yuletide season, saying he is doubtful any one player should appear in all the six matches. The manager has granted his European-based players a two-day 'holiday' to rest and 'have a nice dinner with their families'. The former Real Madrid manager's side meets Hull City in the Premier league today. Petr Cech will replace injured skipper goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in the Hull City face-off. Cesc Fabregas is ruled out for suspension and midfielder Nemanja Matic joins the squad after ban.
