Argentine legend Gabriel Batistuta has hailed Lionel Messi as an "extra-terrestial" but he has openly expressed his displeasure over Messi breaking his goal scoring record. Batistuta told Argentine TV Telefe:

"You go around the world and say, 'I'm the top scorer for the Argentina national team.' I liked that.

"But the advantage I have is that I'm second to an extraterrestial."

He added about Messi: "He'll finish with double the goals that I've scored."
