Adidas unveils new World Cup 2018 ball with chip inside...




The iconic World Cup tournament ball will return in Russia 2018 with a chip embedded inside. The innovative tech which is found in nearly all smartphones and tablets will be implemented for the first time in World Cup history.

Adidas has said that each ball will generate a unique identifier for unlocking exclusive content. Adidas category director football hardware, Roland Rommler, says: "The new panel structure and inclusion of an NFC chip was taken football innovation and design to a new level and offers both consumers and player a completely new experience"
