After winning the Champions League, the European Cup, and the FIFA Ballon d'Or in one year, it's hard to contend this spot with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Forbes has named Cristiano Ronaldo the highest paid sportsman for the year 2016. He earned $88million in 2016. Lionel Messi comes in second with $81million; followed by Lebron James $77million.

There is so much for Ronaldo to celebrate this week as he turns 32 on Sunday.
