Hottest Transfer Gossip: Barcelona yield to defeat over Coutinho move

Barcelona have conceded to defeat in the pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho. Barcelona have failed to win the chase for the 25-year old Brazilian despite having bidded thrice: £72m, £90m, and £118m.

The Liverpool Echo wrote that the Sunday deadline Barcelona set for Liverpool to agree to the final bid "went unanswered by sporting director Michael Edwards."

The Catalan giants must make a move fast as talks are spreading that Lionel Messi is getting subtly frustrated at Barcelona's current condition.
