Real Madrid to be investigated over transfer of underaged players

 


According to ESPN, Real Madrid are being investigated by FIFA to ascertain that they are not breaching the rules on the transfer of players younger than 18.


The Champions League winners are said to have under them some feeder clubs that supply them with young players. FIFA says Article 19 of its regulations forbids player under 18 to be transferred except in "certain predetermined situations". The outcome of the investigation is still unknown.

Furore over the Marseille sales of Didier Drogba and Samir Nasri into Chelsea and Arsenal respectively escalated to more arrests on Tuesday.
