Lionel Messi wins Alfred di Stefano trophy and Pichichi award


Barcelona superstar forward Lionel Messi has been presented with two new feathers on his cap: Alfred Di Stefano trophy and Pichichi award. Messi scored 34 goals in 36 matches, and had 12 assists. The Alfred Di Stefano trophy is given to the best player in La Liga while the Pichichi award goes to the top goalscorer in the division.

Messi was presented with the trophies by Marca Director Juan Ignacio Gallardo and La Liga president Javier Tebas.

Furore over the Marseille sales of Didier Drogba and Samir Nasri into Chelsea and Arsenal respectively escalated to more arrests on Tuesday.
